This exhibition poster was designed in response to Woven Histories: Textiles and Modern Abstraction, an international exhibition exploring the relationship between textile practices and modern abstract art. Inspired by the exhibition’s themes of weaving, craftsmanship, and artistic experimentation, the poster translates the tactile qualities of textiles into a contemporary visual language.

The Design
The design combines geometric abstraction, layered textures, and structured typography to reflect the interconnected nature of woven materials and modernist composition. Visual elements were developed to evoke threads, grids, and woven patterns while maintaining a clean and engaging exhibition identity.
The Colours
Through careful consideration of hierarchy, colour, and composition, the poster aims to communicate both the historical significance and contemporary relevance of textile-based art. The final outcome balances artistic expression with clear information design, creating a visual system that captures the exhibition’s exploration of materiality, identity, craft, and abstraction. The project demonstrates my ability to interpret cultural content and transform complex curatorial concepts into a compelling visual communication piece.
